My son always says it's easier to count the places I haven't been than those I have. I love the wilds of Africa, I love cruising on the oceans and the rivers of the world, riding the rails in India and Canada, driving the countryside in Tuscany. I love to travel. What is your favorite destination and why?
"Africa. I love the wilds — Botswana, Rwanda, South Africa. I have been to the Okavango Delta, the Sabi Sand, and the Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. It gets in your blood."
What is your travel philosophy?

Most memorable travel moment?
"Standing in McMurdo, Antarctica. My son says it is easier to count the places I have not been than those I have. He might be right — and Antarctica is the one that proves it."
